Everything you need to know about our free loan connection service, eligibility, and how your information is handled.
REI LoanDoc is an online advertising marketplace operated by THE REI LOAN DOC LLC. We are not a lender — we connect potential borrowers with a network of independent lenders and lending partners who may be able to offer personal loan options. Our service is completely free for borrowers.
It's simple: you fill out our short online form (takes about 2 minutes), submit your request, and we share that information with lenders in our network. If a lender is interested in working with you, they will contact you directly with a loan offer, which you can review — with no obligation to accept.
We never make loan decisions or advance funds ourselves. Every offer you receive comes directly from an independent lender.
Yes, completely free. You never pay us anything at any point. We are compensated by lenders in our network when a successful connection is made — this is how we keep our service free for borrowers. Any fees associated with a loan come directly from the lender, not from us.
No. THE REI LOAN DOC LLC is not a lender, does not broker loans, and does not make credit decisions. We operate an advertising marketplace. Any loan agreement you enter is solely between you and the independent lender who makes you an offer.
Lenders in our network offer personal loans ranging from $50 to $5,000. The actual amount you may be offered depends on your individual credit profile, income, and the lender's specific criteria. Not all applicants will qualify for the maximum amount.
APRs offered by lenders in our network range from 4% to 35.55%. The exact rate depends on your creditworthiness, loan amount, and repayment term. For loans obtained through certain paid advertising channels (Google/Bing), maximum APRs may reach 35.99%. Always review the full loan agreement before accepting any offer.
Loan terms in our network range from 70 days to 36 months, depending on the lender and loan amount. Shorter terms typically mean higher monthly payments but less interest overall. Review any offer carefully to understand your repayment schedule before signing.
There is no fee to submit a request through our platform. Individual lenders may charge origination fees, late payment fees, or prepayment fees — these will be disclosed in your loan agreement. Read every fee disclosure carefully before accepting a loan.
To submit a loan request through our platform, you generally must be at least 18 years old, a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, and have a valid Social Security number and an active bank account. You must also reside in an eligible state (see below). Individual lenders may have additional requirements.
Our network includes lenders who review applicants with a range of credit histories. A lower or limited credit score does not automatically disqualify you from receiving an offer, but it does influence the offers you may see — typically resulting in a higher APR, smaller loan amount, or shorter term. Each lender makes its own underwriting decision; we do not guarantee any offer.
At this time, residents of New York are not eligible to submit a loan request through our platform. This is due to state-specific lending regulations. We apologize for the inconvenience.
The information you submit is used to match you with lenders in our network who may be able to meet your borrowing needs. We may share your information with multiple lenders, lending partners, and marketing partners. By submitting your request, you consent to this sharing. Please review our Privacy Policy for full details.
Yes. We use 256-bit SSL encryption to protect data transmitted through our platform. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure. We take commercially reasonable precautions to protect your information and only share it with partners who are contractually required to maintain appropriate security standards.
In many cases, lenders review submissions within minutes. If a lender is interested, they will typically contact you the same day — often by redirecting you to their website immediately after your submission to review an offer. Response times vary by lender.
Funding timelines depend entirely on the lender. Many lenders offer next-business-day deposit to your bank account if your application is approved and all required documents are submitted promptly. Some lenders may take longer. Always confirm expected funding time directly with your lender.
Not all loan requests result in an offer. If no lender in our current network is a match for your profile, we may present you with alternative resources or you may not receive a response. We recommend comparing multiple options and considering improving your credit score, adding a co-signer, or exploring non-profit credit counseling if you are struggling financially.
